What a Season! Starkly contrasted with last year, this year has been amazing. Fish are coming into shallow water daily, and feeding well. It’s still not a numbers game but average fish is 6-8 pounds, and were catching a lot of fish over 10 almost daily. Fish have tended towards the indicator bite, but on slow days change to retrieving flies as that has proven to be effective on the days the indo bite is slow. Fish are also feeding at certain times of the day. As always first light and last light will produce some fish, but the main bite has been from 11-2 each day. That may change a bit with some sunny days in the forecast. I would expect a sunny day would push back their feeding time to 1 to dark or so. It’s also been nice to see fish still all over the lake. From south to north fish are being caught all over. I can't wait to see what the rest of the season has in store for us. I’m thinking we are looking at some of the best fishing in our area in the not so distant future!

Flies that we suggest: Booby fly (Cat Whisker, Martini Olive, Dragon, Diablo), Balanced Leech (Peacock, White, Olive), Bellyflop Damsel,  Marabou Midge, 49er Midge, Midnight Cowboy, Midnight Tadpole
